THE FOUNTAIN OF FORGIVENESS

In the forgotten traditions of Spanish culture, it was customary to wash the dust off your face, hands, and feet at the end of each day. During this daily ritual, it was also customary to reflect on the blessings of each day and to forgive the transgressions of others. Cleansed, one could then enter their dwelling with spotless hands and a purified heart.

Some have returned to this daily ritual by placing “Fountains of Forgiveness” just outside the entrances to their homes.
