DUSK

Photographs by David Hunnicutt

Dusk is the great illusion. The sun, even in all of it’s glory, is either just above the horizon or
just below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are; there
can’t be one without the other, and yet they can’t exist at the same time. How tragic it would be,
I remember thinking, to be the closest of companions, yet never possess the capacity
to truly understand one another.
