August 26, 2007

On Monday August 6, 2007 at 2:48 am, Huntington’s Crandall Canyon Mine collapsed trapping six men. On August 16, 2007, three rescue workers were killed and six more were injured as the escape tunnel they were working on collapsed covering them with tons of coal and rubble. Although the search continues, none of the bodies of the original six have been recovered.
