“I spent my whole life moving things from here to there. Looking back on it all, it really ain’t much of a life. I’ll admit it keeps me busy–damn busy–but in the end, it don’t amount to much.”
“Here I am almost 50 and I feel like I have spent the last 30 years working pretty hard. Hell, I’ve driven more than a million miles in this rig–that’s more than enough miles to get you to the moon and back. Now if a guy were to go to the moon and back, people would say that’s something pretty special. But when I look around, I don’t have any thing to show for it. I live out of this cab and the only friends I got are the one’s I know from the road.”
“I guess I kind of always knew this was gonna be the story of my life. When you’re younger, it’s easy to put things off and make up reasons why you don’t have to look more closely at what you are doing with your life.”
“That trick just ain’t worth the time it buys.”
