“We were just finishing a 12 hour shift at the sand pits. The next thing I know, there’s something big hovering right above us. I looked up into the sky and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Right above me–maybe 50 feet–was this big triangle-shaped aircraft.”
“This thing is huge and we’re freaking out–but it gets way more intense. As we are standing there just looking up at this thing, everything suddenly goes absolutely white with the most intense light I have ever seen. All I could do was cover my eyes with the palms of my hands–there was no way you could keep your eyes open. I could still hear it hovering over us but I just couldn’t open my eyes.”
“Then everything goes silent–completely silent. I opened my eyes and looked around. We’re all still standing underneath the floodlights of the foreman’s trailer exactly like we were 30 seconds earlier–except now everyone’s in shock at what had just happened. All we could do was stand there with our mouths wide open.”
In the United States, there are numerous accounts of people who claim to have had encounters with extra-terrestrials. This report, taken from the Society of Paranormal and Extra-Terrestrial Researchers, is just one of hundreds that are filed each year–the vast majority occurring in the desert southwest.
Although it is unlikely that an extra-terrestrial encounter occurred at this specific mining site (located just east of Salt Lake City across the Nevada border), I couldn’t help but thinking that I wouldn’t have been surprised in the slightest if one had.
