ON THE ROAD TO FIND OUT

Photographs by David Hunnicutt

October 13, 2007

With the greatest of memories,
I walk away from the place I once called home.
And although a new chapter is about to unfold,
I will forever miss the days of my youth.

This is the last time I will look back
and I will keep walking until I find the place where I belong.

Alistair Singer, 19th century author and poet, on turning 14 and being asked to leave home
because his parents did not have the means to support him.
