If I lose my shelter, I will write under the sun in the open fields.
If I lose the light of the sun, I will write by moonlight, candlelight,
or if necessary, no light.
If I lose paper and ink, I will write in blood on forgotten walls.
~Henry Rollins
Today, I spent the better part of the afternoon kicking around an old cemetery neart Tobias, NE. It’s amazing what you can learn from reading the inscriptions and epitaphs on these old headstones. It also, surprisingly enough, turned out to be a great place to get some writing done.
Henry Rollins, I couldn’t agree with you more.
