Union Pacific’s “Big Boy” 4023 stands majestically on a hillside overlooking Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens. Considered to be the largest steam locomotive ever built, the 4023 was introduced in the early 40’s and dominated the rails until it was retired in 1961.
