Located a country mile from the little town of Melville in Sweet Grass County, one of the earliest churches constructed in Montana still towers over the prairie. Organized by a group of hard-working pioneers in 1885, the church was dedicated in November of 1914. Services are still held every Sunday and people come from all over the county to take part.
With more than 120 years of activity, the Melville Lutheran Church is the most historic in all of Montana.
