As the wind blows cold through the long grass, a sense of great sadness permeates this old cemetery. Standing at the foot of Selma Fallang’s grave, I can’t help but wonder who placed the flowers at the base of her headstone. Her parents surely would have passed long ago and, sadly, neither of them are resting here. Although it’s hard to explain, it’s somehow reassuring to know that, even after more than 120 years, Selma Fallang has not been forgotten.
