“You do not need to teach the paths of the forest to an old Gorilla.”
~African Proverb
Charles Robert Darwin (February 12, 1809 – April 19, 1882) was an English naturalist who suggested that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors through the process he called natural selection. Generally accepted by the scientific and education community, Darwin’s theory of natural selection is taught in virtually every classroom in America.
Looking as if it were resurrected from the pages of my sixth grade science primer, this photograph was taken at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo.
