YELLOW CARS

Modesty is the gentle art of enhancing your charm by pretending not to be aware of it.

~Oliver Herford

If you spend enough time around people from small towns, you’ll come to realize that nice things embarrass them.

Case in point, 76 year-old Jack Anderson’s classic Studebaker.

There’s no question in my mind that the man loves this car (and he should; he spent more than four years restoring it).

But for some fascinating (and attractive) reason–maybe upbringing, maybe circumstances–Jack Anderson just can’t bring himself to overtly acknowledge the fact that it’s one extraordinary machine.

In fact, all he can say is that ‘it’s not too bad as yellow cars go.’

Not too bad as yellow cars go?

Man, you gotta love a guy like that.
