“Why do we always expect home to stay the same? Nothing else does.”
~Anthony Perkins, lines taken from the movie, ‘Hearts In Atlantis’
The film ‘Hearts In Atlantis’ is a gentle, innocent film about the reflections of an aging man (David Morse), who returns to his home town after the death of his best friend. Memories of life at age 11 flood back reminding him of the magical moments that changed his life forever. The phrase ‘low men in yellow coats’ was a remarkable piece of imagery central to the movie and served metaphorically as those things that seek to take from us the things that are most important.
May we all be on constant guard against low men in yellow coats.
