The late August sunset tells me our beloved summer is slipping away.
In just a few short weeks, the air will be turning cold and autumn will come for yet another visit. And like the year before (and every other year before that) I’ll lament the change of seasons as I watch the leaves dance about on the wind and settle gently on the ground.
It happens every year.
And although summer’s demise inevitably and always comes far too fast, I’ll remember with great clarity the once in a lifetime moments that transpired during the last few weeks. Taking in the brilliant colors, I’ll quietly hope that time passes quickly and I’ll soon be able to return to the places and people I love most.
