A ROOM IN PARIS

“People who have made peace with themselves are the people I admire the most in this world.”

~Nelle Harper Lee, Author, “To Kill A Mockingbird”

In a quiet corner room on the second story of the Hotel de Crillon, I’ll spend what’s left of this forgotten afternoon lost in my beloved Nelle. Finding comfort in her words, I’ll watch the sun move across the western skyline until the light, at last, disappears.  Unable to bear her leaving, I’ll close my eyes and lie still in the darkness.  And, in the cool of the evening, she’ll slip away silently; leaving me wanting more.
