Traveling along this marvelous ribbon of deserted highway, I have one simple desire—I wish you could be here. Knowing all that’s inside you, you deserve to be a part of this adventure—to experience fully and completely the thrill of traveling this grand space; to feel the south wind hot on your skin; to hear the echoes of a thousand conversations scattered along this lonely stretch of blacktop; to be alive and in the moment with neither security nor assurance of safe return.
And if this place were as alive as we two, it would stand in admiration–embracing us not as strangers but as much-welcomed friends. Under this blessing, together, we would travel ever onward; awash in golden strands of sunlight; mile after mile after mile; gloriously lost; never looking back.
