ONE SUMMER’S DAY

Photographs by David Hunnicutt

“I’d give all the wealth that years have piled,
the slow result of life’s decay,
To be once more a little child
for one bright summer’s day.”

~Lewis Carroll

Days like this make me wish I was kid again.

Wasting the day in the hot summer’s sun; watching grasshoppers move about with determined purpose; clouds lazily drifting by.

I guess it’s true that there’s something to be said for simple pleasures and even simpler times.

Looking back on it all, I’m convinced there were few things better than being a kid on an endless summer’s day.
