DAKOTA MOON

There’s little question that the real world begins at the 100th meridian.

Centuries of history are buried here; deep in the dust.  Tall grass for as far as the eyes can see.  All points west; where the great buffalo once roamed.  Open sky and dirt roads; at the 100th meridian.

There is no other place on this great continent like the land that begins at the 100th meridian.

Serving as the gateway to the great plains, the 100th meridian west of Greenwich is the directional line that divides the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas roughly in half.  To the east in each of these territories, you’ll find more humid temperatures and a predominately agricultural existence which depends heavily on irrigation.  But to the west, you’ll find a more semi-arid climate and endless miles of open plains and rolling grasslands.

For the adventurous, it is to the west of the 100th meridian where the magic can be found.  If you’ve never experienced it, you’re missing one of the greatest treasures in this world.
