Passing through all 13 counties that border Nebraska, US Route 36 is the proverbial road less traveled—you won’t find any big cities or major hotel chains on this ride; no shopping malls or box stores. Break down and you could find yourself in serious trouble; in some places help is more than forty miles in any direction.
Out here, there’s nothing for hundreds of miles—zip, zilch, nada.
