From across the miles,
The prairie wind comes calling;
Wandering here and there;
Dancing atop the rolling hills;
Meandering through the valleys;
Gently, softly;
Frolicking in the cool of the day.
Standing alone in this place;
Stripped bare; wondering;
From where is it you come?
And to where are you going?
What remarkable things have you seen?
What truths can you tell?
Prairie wind, take me with you;
Tell me your secrets;
Show me things hidden;
Endlessly onward;
As one;
Until time stands still.
A time that is no more, tall grass prairie, central KS
